Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 8 p.m. to 3 a.m. are the only times you'll find Tim (the owner) behind the counter of his very well-known and respected pretzel shop. Oh, and don't forget to bring cash only, please!
He caters to the late-night-snack crowd until about 10 and then in flock the drunks from then on, standing in long lines drooling for pretzels displayed behind the glass window. If you go at the wrong time, you will be waiting in line for 30 minutes.
My cousin took me here one night last week, after our very long day at work. She promised me "these are the best pretzels you're ever going to have." Boy was she right.
In I walked, met Tim, and then struggled to make my decision. All of his pretzels are made from scratch, in his shop, everyday. I walked in with the thought that 'a pretzel is just a pretzel.' Boy was I wrong.
The first time I met Tim, I ordered a cinnamon -sugar with this luscious frosting on the side. The second time, I went for the crab, thinking 'this is Baltimore, you can't go wrong with crab on a pretzel.'
Happy eating :)
