Anyways, this restaurant, Goodies, was not really what we expected. It was a cramped place but the food was really delicious. Taylor and I actually met the owner of the restaurant at the local farmers market a few weeks ago and he agreed to give us a discount if we came in, so we thought 'why not'! The owner of Goodies can be found every week handing out free samples of his hummus, babganoush, and pastries at the market.
If you love Lebanese/Mediterranean food, you'll probably enjoy his food. I found a LivingSocial deal online so we thought we'd give it a try.
Taylor and I both started with Lebanese sodas. I am not a soda drinker so I guess you can say I went out of my element a bit tonight. I ordered raspberry flavored while Taylor ordered apple. Interesting. I'll leave it at that.
Then came the entrees. We both ordered fattoush salads. I was very confused what that even meant. So there I was asking question-after-question to our server about what's in it and what's not. Yes, I tend to ask lots of questions.
I guess I can conclude that my first really Lebanese food experience was a positive one. Bottom line is that I love food, especially trying new things so this was fun for me :).
Have a great rest of the week!
