I arrived here Monday and have been loving every minute of my time here. Since it's my first time in this unexpectedly busy, exciting and home-to-great- food city, all that I want to do is explore, walk and shop around. Unfortunately, I am not here for the exploring and shopping that I'd love to do, but to work retail during the insane holiday season.
For two-and-a-half weeks, I'll be working for/with my cousin. Actually, she's my first cousin once removed, whatever that means; that's what she describes our relationship as, so I just go with it. But if you ask me who she is and what I am doing in Baltimore, I say "working for my second cousin at her gift shop."
My cousin, Steffie, owns a shop in this cute, local-business-infested square in the city of Baltimore. Everything in her store, 2910 on The Square, is made in the U.S., majority of it actually is made in Maryland, too! Anyone can find cute and unique holiday or any occasion gifts at 2910.
Eventhough I've been working 7-hours/day this week, we still have time to go out after our long days and drive around the city a bit. From the Washington Monument to this beautifully decorated, widely known, street-- Miracle on 34th Street--Baltimore is way more exciting than I expected.
Have a nice weekend, my lovely followers!
